Your initial full set can take anywhere from 1.5-3.5 hours so it is a good idea to plan accordingly! Please come to your appointment with clean lashes (no mascara, lash glue, or oil residue)! We recommend that you wear comfy clothes, keep your caffeine to a minimum that day, and use the restroom before your appointment! Feel free to bring headphones and drift away to your own tunes, audiobook, or podcast. To avoid irritation and to ensure you get the best result, your artist will prefer to keep chatting to a minimum during appointment times!
Don't stress! On our home page we give a brief description of each type of lash style. After reading the descriptions, we recommend checking out our social media pages to see which styles you prefer ( we normally post the type of style we used for the picture ). Keep in mind everyone has different eye shapes and natural lashes but from the pictures you should start to get an idea of a style that you like!
Generally speaking, classic lashes or hyrbid style lashes are the best to start with if you are new to lash extensions. They give the most realistic look while still giving plenty of added length and thickness.
Still stumped? Its totally fine! Your lash artist will help you decide and always go for a more modest approach with your first appointment that way you don't have any " lash shock" when you see your set for the first time. THE BEST PART is that your lash style is not set in stone. We can easily tweak or change your lashes at your next appointment. There are so many different types, curls, thicknesses of lashes that your lash possibilities are endless.
You also have the flexibility to change your style all together within a few fills. For example , if you start with classics but in time you want more fullness you can start doing hyrbid fills to achieve the look you want and vice versa. If you start with volumes or hyrbids and decide on something more subtle we can slowly start transitioning you to classic lashes ( no need to remove and start all over with a new set!)
If you still have questions please do not hesitate to reach out to us via email or call/leave message to set up a phone consultation!
Sure, but keep in mind your eye and face shape play a very large part in how your set of extensions will look. A set that looks amazing on your friend, may not suit your features. In order to create the look you desire your appointment will begin with a consultation between you and your artist. During this time we will come up with a plan to achieve the look you want while still keeping your lash health and integrity in mind.
With proper application and technique, your natural lashes will not be harmed. Artists at Hudson Lash Studio pride themselves on putting our clients lash health first. We monitor your lash health starting from the first appointment to be sure your natural lashes are thriving.
Contacts should be removed before your appointment to help avoid irritation. Please let your artist know if you need a minute to remove them! We don't mind!
Please wait a minimum of 3 hours before wetting your lashes or exposing them to sweat/ steam. For best results, we recommend waiting a full 24 hours and then resuming your normal lash cleansing routine.
YES! You should be cleansing your lashes daily! We want to see a clean lash line free of dirt, oil, and makeup when you come back for your fill. We sell a great cleanser you can pick up at your next appointment! Otherwise, make sure you're using a cleanser that is oil free.
Time in between your fills will vary based on many factors such as your lash growth cycle and aftercare,
Clients who prefer classic lashes should have a fill every 2 weeks. Typically, hybrid and volume clients will need a fill between 2.5-3 weeks out.
If you're not sure, ask us! Before each appointment your artist will have a thorough consultation to discuss your questions, preferences, and overall lash health.
If you have ever had a reaction to adhesives or the ingredient "cyanoacrylate" you unfortunately are not a good candidate for lash extensions. Examples of adhesive reactions can include: mild to severe irritation due to medical bandages, acrylic nail glue, or strip lash glue.
Not at all! Lash extensions can easily be glam and dramatic OR soft and natural. Each set is customized to the clients needs, preferences, and face/eye shape.
We recommend you wait 24 hours after your appointment to wet your lashes. Use only oil-free products around your eyes. Cleanse your lashes daily, we prefer Garde Lash Cleanser. Brush your lashes daily. Be sure to NOT pick or pull your lashes.
